2 Days 1 Night Upstream Cruise to Houay Xay

Embarking on a 2-day, 1-night upstream cruise to Houay Xay is an enchanting journey along the Mekong River, offering a unique opportunity to explore the remote and picturesque regions of Laos.

As you set sail from Luang Prabang, you'll be captivated by the serene beauty of the river and the surrounding landscapes. The cruise takes you upstream, allowing you to witness the gradual transition from lush greenery to rugged mountains and dense forests.

Experience one of the world's most magnificent waterways in comfort. We'll stop at Pak-Ou Caves, an ancient pilgrimage site with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha images left there over hundreds of years. You'll have the opportunity to spend the night in Pakbeng before heading to Houay Xay. Along the way, you will see secluded villages while cruising through inspiring gorges and mountain range labyrinths. This is a relaxing and peaceful cruise. You will be surprised at how relaxed you become if you live in a busy world.

• Overnight in Pakbeng (Mekong Riverside) - Price for single room occupancy with breakfast included

• Crew service during the cruise

• Visa/immigration and/or overstay fees in Laos or in Thailand

• For upstream, our boats leave Luang Prabang at 7:00am. So please be at our boat pier in front of T56 restaurant, Ban Pakham at 6:45am

• From November to February, it can get cold during the cruise, do not forget to bring a jacket

• It is possible to leave luggage and suitcase on the boat and take only small daypack for your overnight in Pakbeng

• For safety reasons and according to the weather conditions, the program may change without prior notice

• For some reason, the boat may arrive later than usual. The company will not provide any kind of compensation

• In case of Force majeure, the company will not be responsible for providing services excluded from our terms

• The insurance company shall be liable to insure for the total limit of 1000 USD/passenger maximum for joining the cruise. Coverage excludes loss of cash, precious metal and stones, valuables or objects of a rare precious nature, and belongings to persons

Cancellation Policy:

• Between 30 and 15 days before departure, 50% refund
• Less than 15 days prior to departure: NO Refund

Refund Policy:

• Kindly be advised that only tour/activity fees are refundable; Bank fees cannot be refunded under any circumstances.

Child Policy:

• Free of charge for children under 6 years old
• Between 6 and 12 years old: we charge 50% of the normal rate
• Over 13 years old: full rate is applied

• A private boat can be arranged upon your request.
